Fall Color Cruise Through Grants Pass, & Cave Junction, Oregon
Prior plans to meet at Tommy/Debby Carr’s home at 7:30 am had us on the road just after 7am. The early dawn broke through the dusky sky and as forecast, promised to be another beautiful fall day here in southern Oregon. Our ’46 Ford conv. was all cleaned up, top and windows up (it was only 45 degrees yet) as we purred up the I 5 north to Gold Hill.
Our genial hosts had the German pancakes on the griddle when we arrived and some couples were already into them. We no sooner sat than Tommy handed us a plateful which we smothered with melted butter, powdered sugar and topped with cinnamon. More toppings were set out and you could add jams, jellies, syrups and fresh strawberries…yes, grown right here in the valley, still sweet and delicious!!!
